In between insurance claims and car shopping, I worked on sewing more garments for spring and summer. Since we had temperatures well beyond 105 degrees last summer – without air conditioning at home – tank tops and shorts were on the list. I also needed some light cotton blouses to wear with my skirts and walking shorts.

Cozy Pullover in Red & Black Plaid
Had a chance to finish up another one of my pullovers before heading into my vintage machine shop. I love red and black plaid (okay technically checkered) and was excited to find this fleece.
Fun and warm….
Enjoying making some new pullovers. Love the springtime colors, space theme, and good old warm plaid!
Time for a little spring time…
It may still be winter but it doesn’t mean there can’t be a little spring! Having fun sewing some new pullovers.
I had several garments ready to sew and finally had the time to make them. There are 6 fleece and flannel pullovers, 3 skirts, 3 blouses, and 5 dresses. My garment stash is now empty!! They are the first garments made on my Luminaire – so regular zipper, trouser zipper, and hidden zippers have all been done on my new machine. Buttonholes, detailed top stitching, and linings all done using a variety of presser feet. Seams have been overcast and buttons sewn on with machine. Several types of fabrics also used from stretch knit, fleece, flannel, ultra suede, to heavy weight denim and sheer cottons.
