I bought my Scan n Cut 2 last fall because Sarah was able to demonstrate how to prepare and cut Applique. I practiced doing a lot of paper cutting during the holidays to get a good feel for the machine.

Today I did my first Applique cutting for the 7” block of Simply Dreaming. I followed Sarah’s recommendations: new standard mat, new standard blade, set to 4. Prepped using Best Press and Heat ‘n Bond light. Did not use the Scan ‘n cut tack sheet. I used fabric in my stash to practice. It cut beautifully!

Now waiting for my machine to return from service for cleaning. My fabric is on order from fabric warehouse, all my supplies are ready. I am excited to get started!!!I plan to make the Sedona Star/Surprise block of the month and Simply Dreaming this year.
